COLLECTIONS

Last weekend’s collection for the Pope’s visit amounted to £720. Many thanks.

This weekend the second collection is for the Catholic Trust for England & Wales, which supplies the Bishops of England and Wales with the revenue necessary for the central administration of the Church.

Next weekend will be our monthly Addiscombe Catholic Aid collection. Funds raised will go to Maryhill, the school run by the Daughters of Mary & Joseph in Uganda.

OUR LADY’S GOLDEN JUBILEE

We have had an encouraging response to our fundraising launch - thank you. Please continue to return your forms to the presbytery, and remember to support the events detailed below.

Craft Group: We have a weekly craft group on Tuesdays at 8pm in the Small Hall, running a series of short courses in craft skills, from handmade decorations to cake decorating, flower arranging to knitting. Have a glass of wine and learn a new skill.

Craft and Farmers’ Market: on Saturday, 19th June - a new quarterly event for handmade products and fresh produce, here at Our Lady’s. If you have some spare home grown fruit or vegetables or are a keen cook, perhaps you could help turn some home grown produce into preserves and freshly baked goods. Alternatively, you may wish to have a stall for the day (£30). Call Amanda on 07740 605246 or Holly on 07743 191312 for more details, about the market or the Craft Group or email craftandfarmersmarket.org. See poster in porch.

Parish Indian Buffet Party: At Vujon, Lower Addiscombe Road, 7.30pm on Monday, 14th June, £25 per person. Tickets available in the presbytery between 9am and 3pm weekdays, or from Nike on 07908 171432 or Jenny at jgreenland@suttonlea.org

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2010
There will be practices at 4.30pm in church on the following days this week: Tuesday (for 12th June 11am), Wednesday (for 12th June 3pm), Thursday (for 13th June 11.30am). Please remember all the First Holy Communion children and their families as they take this wonderful step on their journey of faith.

FEASTS OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT AND SAINT ANTHONY
These will be celebrated at St Mary’s, West Croydon on Sunday, 13th June with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Mass at 2pm. Refreshments will be available after Mass.
