NEWMAN SOCIETY
The next meeting of the Newman Society takes place on Tuesday, 8th June at 7.45pm at the Church of the Faithful Virgin, Upper Norwood. Eileen Grant will present a slide show entitled, John Henry Newman: A Man for Today.


INVOCATION 2010

The first ever national Vocations Discernment Weekend will take place at St Mary's College, Oscott from 2nd - 4th July. Guest speakers include Archbishop Vincent Nichols, Abbot Christopher Jamison and Sr Gabriel Davison. The weekend is open to anyone aged between 16 & 35 who may be wondering about the possibility of a vocation to priesthood or religious life and would like the chance to learn more about what's involved. NEWS FROM THE FRIARS, AYLESFORD

The Friars’ Summer Fayre takes place on Sunday, 20th June, with a variety of stalls and attractions. All night vigils take place on first Saturdays, the next one being on 5th June from 10pm - 6am. Other forthcoming events at Aylesford include a Diocesan day of celebration entitled: Sharing in the gifts of people with special needs on Sunday, 11th July, commencing at 12 noon. On 3rd July beginning at 10.30am there will be a Youth Festival, with varied activities, music and celebration. Posters in porch have more details.


THE JUBILATE CHOIR
Invites you to a choral workshop at St Matthew’s Church, Chichester Road on Saturday 19th June. Registration is at 10.30am, and the performance (of Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G) is at 5pm. Ring Miss C. Roseberg on 8670 3300 for details. See poster in porch.

ST. JOHN BOSCO CHILDREN’S SUMMER HOLIDAY CAMP

HEATHFIELD OPEN GARDENS WEEKEND

Saturday and Sunday June 12th and 13th from 10.30am to 5pm. Free entry and parking. The Pantry café will open at noon each day. Visit these beautiful prize-winning gardens and join the guided tours of the orchards and wildlife sanctuary.
