Parish Liturgy Committee

The Liturgy Committee helps to plan the various liturgical celebrations that take place in the parish.

Altar Servers

Serving is a ministry that is open to adults and children over the age of 9. Occasional training classes are held.

Choirs

The musicians and singers have an important and worthwhile role in leading us all in the praise of God.

Junior Choir

The Junior Choir sings at the 10 a.m. Mass on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Membership is open to all young people of the parish.

Music Group

The Music Group sings at the 10 a.m. Mass on the 1 st and 3rd Sunday of the month. Practices are held on the preceding Friday at 7.30 p.m. in the church.

The Six-Thirty-Singers

Lead the singing at the 6.30 p.m. Sunday Mass once a month on the 2nd Sunday of the month and occasionally for special events.

Organists

Any person who is able to play the organ or piano and would be willing to accompany the singing at services should contact the Parish Priest.

Readers

There is a rota for Readers. Please see one of the Priests if you are interested in reading at Mass.

Services for Small Children

A special service for small children is held in the hall during the 8.30 and 10 a.m. Mass on the second and last Sunday of each month. A group of people, especially parents, meets once a month to consider the scripture readings for the weeks concerned and to devise ways of presenting the message of the readings to small children.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers assist with the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass and also take Holy Communion to the sick and housebound of our community.

Eucharistic Adoration

Members of the parish commit themselves to a regular period of adoration each Friday before the Blessed Sacrament exposed.

Those who wish to make a commitment should contact the co-ordinator via the parish office for further details.

A Marian Prayer Group 

meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month at: 124, Addiscombe Road.

Church Cleaning

The church is cleaned on a rota basis by four teams, usually on a Thursday morning. New volunteers are always more than welcome. Please contact the parish office for person to speak to if you would like to help keep our church a place of worship to be proud of.

Repository

The Repository Shop is usually open after most Sunday Masses.

Flower Arrangers

Our flower arrangers do their best to make our Church look lovely for Sunday worship and special occasions. None of us have any special flower arranging training. If you like flowers and would like to help with this ministry, please see Contacts list for person to telephone. There is a separate rota for each of our three altars.
