The Parish Pastoral Council
The Parish Pastoral Council provides a forum in which priests and people can discuss together the needs of the parish and plan its activities. The Council meets in January, April, July and October, usually on the second Thursday, in the Church Hall at 8 p.m.
Membership
The Council consists of:

Vice-President (Assistant Priest)
Chairperson
} Vice-Chairperson } appointed by Parish Priest Four other members }
Eight members appointed by the various organisations and associations of the parish.
Eight members elected by parishioners
These are voting members of the Council but all parishioners are entitled to attend Council meetings and to speak if invited to do so by the Chairperson. Apart from the President, Vice-President, and Secretary, members of the Council serve for a maximum of three years before standing down.
Annual Parish Meeting
There is an Annual Parish Meeting at which elections to the Parish Pastoral Council take place and other matters of interest to the whole parish are discussed. All parishioners over the age of 16 are entitled to stand for election to the Council and vote in elections or on propositions put to the Annual Parish Meeting.
