The 28th Croydon (Our Lady of the Annunciation) Scout Group has been part of the parish since 1951.
The Group is proud to be sponsored by Our Lady of the Annunciation, which means the parish supports the Group’s presence in the community, provides spiritual guidance, and helps ensure it remains rooted in the values and life of the parish.
The Group is run day-to-day by trained volunteers and is open to all young people in the local area. Meetings are held at our own Scout Headquarters, located at the rear of 20–22 Craven Road (off Bingham Road).
The Group currently comprises the following sections:
- Squirrel Drey (ages 4–6) – Tuesdays 17:00–18:00
- Willow Beaver Colony (ages 6–8) – Mondays 17:30–18:30
- Elder Beaver Colony (ages 6–8) – Fridays 18:00–19:00
- Bede Cub Pack (ages 8–10½) – Mondays 19:00–20:30
